Inner Calm
Silent Strength
Hi my name is Natascha Zeller and my love of yoga began through my original background in performing arts, where I discovered how beneficial the practice was to help heal parts of the body that had become overstretched and overworked.
My inspiration to teach then came about ten years later, after a diagnosis of osteoarthritis in my early thirties led me to my then teacher for a year of 1-1s. Thereafter I was not only able to manage the pain a lot better, but with consistent practice I became pretty much pain free. My lovely teacher Julia Weltman then suggested I take Simon Lows teacher training which I did and there began my teaching journey .
As a proud graduate of Simon Lows Yoga Academy I followed on with Susannah Hoffmans Training to teach Yoga for children at Triyoga London. Along with shorter Prana vinyasa trainings with Shiva Rea at Yoga Campus London and more recently Petra Coveneys Menopause YTT with the British Wheel of Yoga.
Having began my yoga teaching career part time in various different health clubs in and around south west London and Surrey U.K. whilst also still flying as cabin crew for British Airways. In 2016 I left flying to take a wonderful opportunity to teach full time as resident Yoga instructor at the award winning beautiful Bodyholiday Wellness resort in St. Lucia, having first taught on their behalf at the OmYogashow London !
At Bodyholiday I taught a range of both group and private classes to guests and was greatly inspired by many people I met, including Olympic athletes as well as guest yoga teachers and well being professionals from around the globe .
My love of water and yoga merged in St Lucia in the form of Supyoga! So I went on from St Lucia to the beautiful Yucatan peninsula in Mexico to train with Jessica Bellofatto (one of the founders of Supyoga) and Nancy Kyd - founder of Supyoga Tulum! There we trained on beautiful jungle cenote lakes alongside the ocean, learning launching techniques as well as water first aid and rescue.
In 2018 we came to live in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss alps, a place I always had strong roots, where my paternal grandfather was born and I was christened so the pull of these mountains was always strong. It wasn’t however until the following year I discovered just how special these mountains were and perhaps as legend might say, could even have been the ‘portal’ for the practice of yoga becoming more popular in the western world, throughout the 20 + summers of inspiring lectures here in the Saanenland by the great philosopher Krishnamurti along with friends like Ravi Shankar and Yehudi Menuhin from 1962 - 1985 !
So here is where you’ll mostly find me these days, passionate about sharing my love of Yoga both on land and water and how it can help to find life’s balance awakening profound senses of ‘inner calm and silent strength’
Always inspired by the words of Bruce Lee - ‘my strength comes from my abdomen, it’s the centre of gravity and the source of real power’
